THE CHALLENGE

SLAS wanted to diversify its revenues to reduce its reliance on its successful International Conference. With the strong growth in the biotech field, the meeting landscape was getting more crowded and competitive. They needed help to determine new revenue generators.

MYB'S APPROACH

Beginning with marketplace and stakeholder research, MYB uncovered industry challenges that provided opportunities for SLAS. Guiding its leadership through an ideation workshop, MYB helped to surface, shape and prioritize a number of big ideas to address these challenges. Several were then taken through PIVOT™, MYB’s proprietary process to comprehensively vet new product concepts.
One concept, Workforce Accelerator met the criteria set by the board and was approved to develop further.

THE IMPACT

Workforce Accelerator will be launched in 2025 and is expected to not only address the workforce pipeline challenges but create more awareness of the field to young professionals and become a significant revenue stream over the next 3 years.
